Enjoy authentic Montana rodeo every Thursday night at Columbia Falls own Blue Moon Saloon. At 7pm the bleachers start to fill up with Montana’s rodeo fans that come to cheer on their favorite cowgirls and cowboys as they attempt to beat the bull to the buzzer, wrestle steers to the ground and rope calves, among all the other rodeo favorites. Rodeo vets will appreciate the skill, the kids will love the animals and clowns and newbies will appreciate the announcer’s A to Z explanations of the sport. Fuel up at the Meadow Lake Bar and Grille or come hungry and devour the hamburgers and other fare available on site. It’ hosted by a bar so libations are plentiful.

Recommended Time: Summer Thursday’s gates open at 5pm, rodeo starts at 7pm, ends at dark. Saloon is open 12noon – 2am daily.

Distance: Five-minute drive from Meadow Lake Resort. Parking is plentiful and free.

Cost: Entrance charge is $12 adults and $6 for children 6-12 under 6 free.

Recommended Attire: Weather appropriate. Cowboy hats welcomed. Wingtips discouraged. Sunglasses helpful.

Intensity: Good for zero to 100. Seating is bleachers so appropriate bench seats or pads may be necessary for some guests.
