Greetings from your team at Meadow Lake Development Corporation (MLDC). We hope that everyone is staying safe and calm through these uncertain times. Since making the decision to close our doors to travelers due to COVID-19 as stated in a previous correspondence, we want to reassure you that we are still hard at work upkeeping the resort that you know and love. Our goal is to lessen the economic impact by keeping our staff employed. We are taking advantage of the unfavorable closure to execute projects throughout the resort that are otherwise more difficult to address with constant guest turnover.
Annual deep cleans are already scheduled regularly by the Meadow Lake Housekeeping team, but this closure will allow our staff to clean in detail unit by unit without interruption. Deep cleans require extra time to ensure that each and every corner of the unit is scrubbed and disinfected. In order to be most effective, the team will remove light fixtures, move refrigerators, laundry units, couches, and all other furniture, leaving no square inch unattended. At the end of this deep clean, your resort will be fresh and sterilized in time for your summer vacation. Additionally, all public spaces will be deep-cleaned and sanitized including the lobby of the Inn, the Recreation Center, the Fitness Center, and all bathrooms. It does not stop there, the Meadow Lake Bar & Grille will be scrubbed top to bottom both the dinning area and kitchen.
Along with cleaning, we will take this time to complete other projects around the resort. The Meadow Lake Maintenance team will be preforming preventative maintenance in every unit in the resort. In addition to routine maintenance, our team will be tackling projects that are on the to-do list including painting pool areas, cleaning cadet heaters, replacing KABA lock batteries, and refurbishing some nightstands and dining room chairs as necessary.
Every challenge is an opportunity for growth. MLDC will also utilize this time to reflect and rethink about best practices around the resort. When the resort is bustling with activity, we are often working in the moment and sticking to an established routine. Now, we have been given an opportunity to take a critical look at resort procedures, identify areas for improvement, and work to enhance and streamline the guest experience. While closing the resort is not an ideal situation, the health and safety of guests and owners is our priority. In the meantime, we will do everything we can to continue to serve you in the best way possible.
In times like these, community means more than ever. Together, we will make it through a challenging situation. We wish you well, and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you for your ownership at Meadow Lake Resort.
