Dear Owners of Meadow Lake Resort,

COVID-19 will ensure 2020 is a year for the history books.  We’ve all had to adjust our behavior and lives and then sort through the consequences.  Here at Meadow Lake Resort, our first hope is that COVID-19, the adjustments and consequences have been tolerable for you and your loved ones.

As you know, we’ve adjusted: first by closing the resort for much of March and April, and now with a safe reopening with heightened distancing and cleaning protocols.  We are carefully following government and industry best-practice guidelines and we eagerly await the opening of the US – Canada border so we can greet even more owners.

With many of the resort operations halted in early spring, Meadow Lake Development Corporation (MLDC) did not need some of the funds budgeted for operations.  We completed a detailed analysis of the entire budget and determined savings of $181,902 in budget line items ranging from housekeeping, recreation fees, owner services, and MLDC’s management fees. We are placing these funds in unit reserves. By doing so, they will offset future maintenance expenses and lower your future cost of ownership. Your unit’s exact rebate amount will be outlined as a COVID-19 rebate on your 2020 end of year Operating Report that will be sent with your quarter one 2021 statement.

As previously communicated, MLDC is actively working with owners who were prevented from using their home weeks due to the shutdown.  This shutdown was necessary and therefore unavoidable. Our Owner Services department has reached out to each owner whose home week was impacted by the closure and is working diligently to find and offer another agreeable time for these owners to enjoy the resort. RCI was incredibly accommodating for owners whose reservations were made through them. It is our pleasure to be able to work with you through these challenges.

As we head into summer, we are excited to welcome smiling vacationers to the resort. We will continue to communicate as events and guidelines evolve.  One thing that has not changed is MLDC’s mission to maintain your resort in a first-class manner to ensure it remains your gateway to good times in Montana’s Flathead Valley. We will be here for you when you arrive. Thank you for your ownership at Meadow Lake Resort. We welcome your feedback.

Sincerely,

Meadow Lake Development Corporation
