Summer Rental Cash Injection
We are happy to report that the fantastic Montana summer at Meadow Lake Resort was a huge success for our rental program which is designed and operated to provide bottom line financial benefits to you, the resort’s owners.
As we detailed in RCI Take Back – More Rental, Owners to Benefit and in Rental Program Explained, which appeared both online and/or in our June newsletter, Meadow Lake Development Corporation (MLDC) is focusing on renting unused time in order to put money in owners’ pockets. This rental benefit can be direct, through individual owner’s rental revenue, or indirect by aiding in funding the costs, fees and dues of unit weeks whose owners are in default.
Owners benefit each time we rent a condo. Our rental program provided a lot of owner benefit this year. In 2019, MLDC rental efforts resulted in it cutting $370,702 in checks to unit reserves. This is an increase of nearly $72,000 over last year. September alone saw a more than double increase in rental income! Every dollar deposited benefits unit owners who otherwise might face having to finance accumulating delinquencies.
How was this accomplished? Owner Services and Guest Services put on their logistics hats and worked diligently to make more inventory available and to ensure that available inventory was accessible. Our marketing department was another advantage that allowed Meadow Lake to have a bigger presence, online and in print. Moving forward, we are dedicated to learning from and building upon what works, as well as diversifying and adapting our distribution in an ever-evolving industry.
